Change in the Wind of IPL

After yesterday’s match, something has happened in IPL. Ever feared bowlers are now being regarded and not only regarded, respected too. 160 on board, Rohit, Buttler, Pollard, Pandaya, big names of the game, lost by 3 runs. Still a better sight than VWhatsApp Image 2017-04-25 at 3.00.16 AMDG (Virat Devillers Gayle)  fall :P.

Bowlers are having a gala time in IPL. Just for the record,in last four IPL matches, team batting second has lost. A rare fixture indeed. Coming to the match, medium scoring but a tight one. Had Rohit Sharma contained himself, the result would have swung either side. Well, you just can’t blame him either. It was need of the hour. RPS has seem to arrive to the party, just messing up the points table real bad.

A good start by Rahane and Triphati. Rahul Triphati is giving one on one good performances. Along with Nitesh Rana and Rishabh Pant, he is knocking the doors of Indian team. 76/0 in 9.2 to 160/7 in 20, you have to commend the Mumbai bowlers. Late cameo by Manoj Tiwary saw RPS posting a good score. Bumrah and Bhajji were once again brilliant with the ball.

Mumbai also started good but just couldn’t contain it. Losing wickets at regular intervals cost them. But not as much as losing three in last over. Still a good batting performance on a slow pitch. Rohit Sharma (58) finally had his the with the bat.

Well, even after the loss, Mumbai looks settled in top. They go on a break for four days until next match, but RPS, a complete change in DNA. This is what momentum does to you. Half way through, the tournament has opened up. That’s the beauty of the game.

RPS- 160/7(20)
MI- 157/8(20)

Next match – RCB Vs SRH.
