Another win, another class

Class and Consistency has no substitute and Gambhir is slowly becoming a synonym for it. Another chase, another brilliant innings and another win KKR. Just like the same copy paste statement every-time they play. And even luck seems to favour them. 62 dropped catches this season till now, highest in any IPL midway. And two of them today itself. Phew, some sheer luck too.

Well, Sanju Samson and Shreyas Iyer once again proved their worth in the team and DD was eyeing a good total before Samson left the proceedings 123/1 in 13.5 over and that is when things changed for DD. Only one boundary shot in last four overs tells you a lot about the top notch KKR bowling. Pant and Morris once again failed to provide the last over momentum resulting 160 which on this track was never enough. NCN once again picked up three wickets and Nairine and Woakes kept things tight, like always.

Uthappa(59) is getting better with everyday and with every knock. Power packed innings saw KKR making a mockery of the run rate. Gambhir (71) played an anchor role till the time Uthappa was busy in his fire works and once he was out, he took the job in his hand and made sure KKR crosses the line comfortably.

Gambhir won everyone’s heart by appealing to everyone to contribute for education of CRPF jawan’s Children. Of the record, his foundation is working in the similar field. An emphatic gesture.

KKR- 161/3(16.2)
