Happy Splitting for OZ

New-zealand Vs Australia: the Trans Tasmanian clash. But rain had other plans. Australia will take the one point happily. These one point can be decisive when it comes to qualification later in this tournament. Nevertheless, the snapshot of the match :IMG_20170602_235030

  • New Zealand started the innings on high. After losing Guptill cheaply, the wicketkeeper batsman Ronchi (65) and Captain Williamson(100) provided the much needed consolidation. After rain intervened, the Black caps innings slowed down and eventually they were bundled for 291 in 45 overs in an 46 aside match.

  • Kane Williamson scored a century, first by a NZ captain in CT. Hazelwood(6/52) registered second best bowling figures ever.IMG_20170602_235000

Australia started on a poor note as they were reduced to 53/3 in 9 overs chaising a big target.

  • The rain had questioned ICC’s choice of venues for this tournament.

NZ: 291/10(45)
Aus: 53/3(9)
