India Vs Pakistan: The high voltage clash, the fight that always garners huge attention, so much attention that the Birmingham had highest attention ever in the history. The snapshot of the rain affected match:

-The pre match build up suggested that we were about to have a cracker performance. The coin fell in the favour of Shehzad and he didn’t take any time to field first.

  • That first ball from Aamir was more like a wake-up call. But later, returning Rohit Sharma(91) and Shikhar Dhawan(68) slowly and steadily started built a huge foundation.WhatsApp Image 2017-06-05 at 1.13.54 AM (1)

  • Once the openers were done, it was Yuvi and Captain’s turn to speed up the inning. Yuvi made 53 out of 32 and Kohli, who was initially very slow, picked up and went on to score 81*.

  • Hardik Pandaya’s 20 off 6 powered Indian innings to a big total. 72 runs was scored in last 4 overs. Something that has always been troubling the Pakistani side.

  • Pakistan, chasing a big total was never in the game. Except for Azhar Ali, no batsman looked like battling the Indian bowlers.

  • If you ask which Indian bowler was standout, there was no one special. It was indeed a team effort. Umesh was pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets. Though Jadeja made his presence felt with two wickets and a brilliant run-out. IMG_20170605_011133

  • Both sides had one thing in common, frequent mis-fields. Couple of catches were dropped in either innings followed by missed chances.

  • A big win has made India go on top in the group. The next match is against Srilanka on 8th June.
