Sports Round-up :

  • ICC Women’s World Cup- Australia begin its World Cup defense on a good note by defeating West Indies by 8 wickets in match held at Tauton. Batting first, the Caribbean side scored a meager 204 which never posed any trouble to the Oz, achieving the target comfortably.
  • ICC Women’s World Cup- Pakistan is taking on England in Leicester.
  • IPL title rights sold for INR 2199 corers to Vivo.
  • Lasith Malinga will face disciplinary inquiry by SLC.
  • Transfer Talk : Kevin Prince Boateng has renewed his contract with Las Palmas for another year. The German player signed a one-year deal with the Canarian side last summer.
  • Transfer talk: Ronaldo delaying Morato’s  deal.
  • The All India Football Federation (AIFF) relieved German coach Nicolai Adam of his duties as the Head Coach of the Indian U-17 National Team in January, with less than three months to go for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup that is to be held in India in October this year. In came former SL Benfica ‘B’ coach Luís Norton de Matos to take over the reigns of India’s U-17 World Cup team.
