So, India won another match on the trot. This Indian side, leaving apart the Champions Trophy finals debacle, is indeed the one of the best side, or atleast than its current opponent, West Indies, who cannot seem to get hold of scheme of things. Presenting to you the snapshot:
- The pitch was very much uneven and so was the Indian batting and just like any other thing in India, this also ended on high. Rahane (72), was looking to avenge his Champions Trophy miss out and Dhoni (78) reinstated the fact that class never goes out of style.
- Jadhav and Yuvraj also contributed with their small cameos as India posted a gauntlet 251/4.
West Indian batting is weak and everyone knows it. And time and again they proved it. Against a quality Indian attack, they were never in the hunt. From Umesh’s magical ball to Jadhav’s first ball was wicket, West Indies cricket is deteroting day by day. Ashwin was magical with his 10-28-3 figures and so was the Chinaman Kuldeep (3/41).
The win is something that won’t affect India much because with this kind of performance and team, it was what is expected out of them, but West Indies, need to do something, not only something, more than that even, that might take to rejuvenate them. It is not about the team, but the over all intent I must say.
Well, India has made sure that they cannot lose the series and I think now they’ll try their bench strength. Looking forward to the remaining two matches.
