Cricket :

  • Bilateral Series: After rain interrupted the third day of the third test, the fourth day started little early and till the reports, England had set a target of 492, after declaring at 313/8 in the second innings.
  • Reschedule- The proposed Sri-lanka visit to India may get rescheduled due to inclusion of another series commemorating Srilanka’s 70th independence day.
  • ACA-CA fight : Cricket Australia has reaffirmed its commitment to achieving agreement in the current pay dispute through ongoing “intensive” negotiations after the Australian Cricketers’ Association signaled their reluctance to agree to the prospect of resolution through arbitration.
  • PCB vs BCCI: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has been handed approval for the reservation of rupees one billion in order to bear the legal costs of filing a compensation claim against the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
  • A team triangular series: Karun Nair compiled a fine half century to back an impressive bowling display and helped India A crush Afghanistan A at the LC de Villiers Oval in Pretoria on Friday (July 28) and register their first win of the triangular series, also featuring the A team of hosts South Africa.
