  • Bilateral Series:  Sri-Lanka sruggling at the end of day 2 play at Palkella. After being humbled for 135 in their first innings, following-on they were 19/1 at stumps. Earlier in the day, India, powered by late blitz-krieg by Hardik Pandya (108) who went on to score a brilliant ton, ended the innings at 487.
  • Carribean Premier League: Trinbago Knight Riders rode to their fourth win of the season at the back of Sunil Narine’s allround effort on Saturday. After restricting Barbados Tridents batsmen with some tight bowling, the southpaw unleashed his all-out attack approach on the visiting bowlers and scored a 45-ball 79.
  • Host: Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) will host a charity match between World XI and Sri Lanka XI on September 8 in a Twenty20 match scheduled to be played at Kettarama.
